All design activities will be centralized at our head office in Oakville, Ontario. Our design team, comprised of experienced staff members, will undertake the task. Leading this effort will be our CEO, Paula Derda, leveraging her extensive 18-year tenure in the industry. Paula's notable contributions include involvement in large-scale hospital developments over the past seven years. She has actively participated in tasks such as implementing output specifications, coordinating projects, reviewing shop drawings, engaging with end-users, and providing overall project coordination and assistance to project directors.
Our hands-on experience and on-site knowledge play a pivotal role in informing our design decisions. Understanding the functional requirements of foodservice sections, allocating appropriate kitchen concepts, accommodating various dietary restrictions, determining service styles, and facilitating on-floor logistics for efficient delivery are among our core competencies. Moreover, we have been at the forefront of incorporating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to streamline meal deliveries. This experience was exemplified in one of the pioneering hospitals in Canada, where we successfully integrated AI assistance into meal delivery systems.
PD Concepts will establish a dedicated task force responsible for developing construction drawings, mechanical and electrical roughing-ins drawings, and elevation drawings. This team will comprise skilled professional’s adept at their respective domains. Additionally, we will designate a project manager to oversee the coordination of all documents and serve as the primary point of contact for the entire team. This strategic approach ensures seamless communication and efficient project management throughout the design and construction phases.
